This lovely antique doll dates from approx. 1910-1920. She has a bisque head, composition arms and legs with wooden ball joints, and a composition body. Moulded into the back of her head is 'Made in Germany Armand Marseille 390 A81/2M'. She has brown glass sleeping eyes that are in good working order, an open mouth with teeth, rosy cheeks and painted facial features. She has a later wig, which is partly stuck down. She is wearing a vintage white dress and pantaloons, socks and shoes - all of which are more modern than the doll.

Condition - Overall in good condition, with some playwear consistent with age and use. Her wig is dishevelled and has some loss. She is overall a little grubby and would benefit from a careful clean. There is some significant glue residue around her wig. There is some paint loss around her eyes and around her neck where it fits into her body. There are no visible cracks or chips to her head. Her body and limbs are grubby and have some paint loss and wear. There is some cracking and minor loss around the joint sockets of her body and one her legs and feet is badly cracked and shows signs of repair. Her hands appear have been repainted and repaired at some point. The paintwork on her body may have been touched up in places. Her clothes are overall grubby and discoloured.
