This is an impressionist oil painting on board of the village of Hadley in Barnet, London by listed British artist Anthony J Rickards, circa 1970s.
This charming village scene depicts St Mary the Virgin Church in Monken Hadley as seen across a pond. Monken Hadley is an ancient country village which used to be in Hertfordshire but became incorporated into the London Borough of Barnet in 1965.

The painting comes in its original Mid Century frame. There is a label on the reverse.
