This is a delightful Chinese oil on card of a view over a harbour, that I believe is Hong Kong. The painting is not signed but is most likely by a local Chinese artist painted for a tourist or trade painting around 1900. The painting is oil onto card and measures 49.5cm x 31cm.
Condition.

Unfortunately, there are some faults with this painting. The is a tear top centre that comes through the sky to the top of the hill. There is a secondary tear off it. I have taped it to the back to stabilize the tear, but it will need some professional attention.

There are a number of scratches to the paint centre right and to the left of that are some flecks of paint missing. There is a shadow from an old mount around the edge.

Once restored this will be a valuable and scarce painting. If it is Hong Kong harbour, this is an unusual perspective as most paintings are a lot closer to the sea. We have a 14 day return policy.
