An impressive pair of library arm chairs. Of large scale, this pair of chairs are made from dense mahogany and are of stylish design. The bold frames are raised on swept and molded legs and have scroll arms and central carved floral motif. The chairs have been recently re-upholstered and are in very good and original condition. 1080mm high, 680mm wide, 740mm deep and 460mm seat height. Northern European. Circa 1840 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
