An unusual individual cocktail shaker made and signed by the American maker, Napier on the underside together with "US and Foreign Patents Applied For".

I have had these on occasion in the past, but this is the very best I have seen the top being gold plated and the bottom, silver plated. The top even retains the original red enamel labels (this is nearly always worn and missing) and the moving indicator.

A cocktail would be prepared, the indicator moved to identify the contents. The top lifts off to reveal a built in strainer.

Art Deco in era dating to c.1930. Superb condition measuring 6 3/8" x 2 3/8" in diameter.
