A delightful mid 20th century silver vermeil and enamel necklace designed by the illustrious Norwegian silversmith Aksel Holmsen. The pendant is crafted as a Pansy in sterling silver vermeil and overlaid with enamel in hues of white and delicate pinks. The petal and stamen are highlighted with gilt to illustrate the ethereal and fragile beauty of a flower at its most perfect but brief existence . The necklace is an excellent example of the creative genius of craftsmen working in Scandinavia during this period.

Dimensions - The pendant measures 3 x 3cm and is on an 18" chain. All Jewellery comes in an appropriate box.
