This interesting tribal Angola carving depicts a seated tribal female pregnant figure sitting on a naïve stool with a vessel in one hand. This interesting and decorative piece of African art is a fertility figure which would bring good fortune to a man and woman blessing them with children. This interesting piece has a good rich colour and dry patination. On the underside is an old hand typed collectors label which reads tjokne stam koningsbeeld zaire/Angola 7/96 No 3000.
