We have the perfect gift for an AE Jones collector, a charming arts and crafts silver plated on copper bowl by AE Jones for G L Connell of Cheapside London, c1935.

This very attractive silver plated bowl consists of a planished body extending to three foliated paw feet. The base of the bowl carries the makers marks for G L Connell of Cheapside London.

G. L. connell was know to have had his arts and crafts silver and silver plate made by William Hutton and the Birmingham silversmith AE Jones and this particular piece is strongly suggestive of AE Jones designs. Identical solid silver bowls of this design were made for G.L. Connell in Birmingham in the 1930s.

The bowl is 1.5 inches (3.8cm) high, 4.5 inches (11.43cm) in diameter and is in a very good condition with little wear to the plating other than a little bit of pitting to the interior of the bowl.
