A Very Large French Shabby Gilt Console Mirror

This very tall Mirror has a Bright but somewhat Shabby Gilt Frame, in places the gold is worn through showing the red base coat, The frame is made of carved wood and Gesso with an attractive Fleurs des Lys Crest at the top centre
The mirror frame dates from the mid 19th century, the glass is original and has a great deal foxing but a beautiful sparkle to the mercury glass
An original and genuinely Shabby Chic, French aged Gilt Console or Pier mirror , the back has been replaced to give new sturdiness to this charming piece
The Mirror is 72” high and it is 39” wide
