A Regency mahogany Hall Chair
What an elegant survivor this is, from a time when the hall chair was at the zenith of its design. Never made for comfort, and longterm sitting. Those that were forced to sit on these chairs had to wait to see their betters.
This chair has had a rackety life and has had a few repairs to its back legs and seat, hence the price.
It has a great colour and the curved carving is a joy.
