A spectacular Regency mahogany games table with burr walnut cross banding and satinwood stringing to the top and side leaves. The table is raised on ebony inlaid tapering legs with terminate with the original brass cupped castors. The top of the table reverses to a sycamore and mahogany chess board and when removed, reveals a backgammon board decorated with inlaid brass roundels.
The drawers comprise of one side working drawers with a key and one side matching dummy drawers, allowing for the table to be placed in a freestanding position within the room if wished. This is an outstanding piece of Regency antique furniture, both beautiful and versatile.
