A rare Gillows games table. Raised on turned and reeded legs with original brass castors and a single frieze drawer with polished mahogany linings and "Gillows Lancaster" impressed on the top of drawer front. The top swivels and opens to reveal an oval green baize playing surface. The table is of the typically high quality and craftsmanship of Gillows and is in very good and original condition with a lovely rich colour.. 750mm high, 570mm wide and 380mm deep. English. Circa 1830. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
