This pretty pendant comes from the Edwardian period. Its is made in 9 Ct yellow gold and features a swallow or dove set with seed pearls of various size. The bird in flight is carrying a pearl and is set inside a double circular frame with gold balls in between.
The pendant is hallmarked act and the long curb chain is also hallmarked 375.
The bird was used as subject throughout the Victorian and Edwardian periods. The swallow or dove can mean home or hope as in Noah's dove with the leaf in its mouth.

Dimensions - Pendant measures 2.6 cm diameter ( not including bale ). The chain is 40cm in length.
