A Pair Of Inlaid Country House Hall Chairs

A Exceptional Pair Of Oak Inlaid Country House Hall Chairs c1890.
These chairs are made in the Wainscot Style for Wemyss Castle in the late 19th c.
The chairs were the propery of The 4th Baron Lord Inverclyde.....and are traceable via his neice and then to her daughter by descent.
Of differing sizes.........One the ladies and One the gents they are both profusely inlaid with marquetry and bare differing coats of arms to the top rail.
They are delightfully inlaid with exotic woods including, boxwood, ebony, walnut and rosewood and feature stylised carved lion and lioness arms to each relevant chair.
These really are a unique pair of chairs......... of exceptional quality and must be seen to be appreciated.
