In superb Cuban mahogany, the chair stands on square tapered legs with block feet and has fretted brackets under the front rail. The out-swept arms are of attractive and unusual design. The back has a fretted central splat and a beautifully shaped top rail with exaggerated scrolls. The drop in seat has been re-covered in pale linen. In very good and original condition and very good colour and patina. 980mm high, 670mm wide, 600mm deep and 480mm seat height. Circa 1775.
