Measuring approximately 41" x 23 1/2" x 23" (total height, width, depth) and with a seat height of 17 1/4"

A good example of a joined oak country chair in very sturdy condition thought to originate from the North Yorkshire region. Raised on turned legs and including down-swept arms, an attractive shaped apron and boldly carved crest, the central crown synonymous with Charles II period.

Further carving to back panel in the form of a central roundel with a Romayne style portrait of a gentleman's / knight's head with surrounding foliage defined by a sunk and matted ground.
