Victorian Solid silver snuff box by William Comyns
SUPERB WILLIAM COMYNS SOLID SILVER SNUFF BOX LONDON 1900
Very fine circular Victorian Solid silver snuff box by William Comyns, Contains two sets of hallmarks on both lids for London 1900 and WC for William Comyns. It has a lovely detailed, embossed image of a shepherd with bagpipes talking to two shepherdesses on the main cover which is very similar to the famous scene "Le Berger Recompense".
The box has a fine gilt lined interior and the cover is completely air tight. It measures 6.5cm wide x 2.6cm high and weighs 44 grams. In excellent condition with good definition still remaining on the main cover. No splits, holes, dents or repairs.
