2 x Early 20th C. Harrods Silver Plate Coffee Pots
This is an elegant pair of early 20th century Silver Plated Coffee Pots. The pots have tapered bodies, ebonised wooden scroll handles and finials and a pie crust rim around the lids. They are perfectly usable today and would work well with coffee in one and hot milk in the other.
The pots are marked for Harrods of London, one of the most famous department stores in the world. Founded in 1849 it remains on the same site in Knightsbridge today, although it is now a considerably larger building! Throughout its existence, Harrods has enjoyed an enviable reputation for high quality goods.
Condition of the two pots is generally good with just a small dent to the lip of the spout on one pot and some fading of the ebonisation on the handle of the other. However this is only to be expected from items that have seen around a hundred years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The pots stand 15.1cm / 5.9ins high and are 8.2cm / 3.2ins in diameter across the base. The pair together weigh 741g / 26oz.
Both pots are marked on the bottom with the stamp HARRODS, LONDON S.W.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Hermes Tracked & Signed Courier.
Overseas customers, please ask about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
