Beautiful mid 19th.c. hand drawn and coloured wedding armorial illustration c.1840. Featuring the family crests of the Backhouse and Blaxfield families met over a heart and clasped hands, with the latin motto Stat Fortuna Domus Virtute and the legend ‘Both ancient families of England’. In excellent condition, presented in the original gilded frame with original gold and black bordered glass.
