19thc Shibayama writing box. Red lacquer painted with flowers, bone inlaid top depicting an eagle and a crane. Drawer to the right side. Top opens to reveal a compartment shaped like Mount Fuji with three cranes flying by. Front the n folds down to reveal a red velvet covered writing slope. There are covered compartments and a compartment beneath the writing slope.
