Large 19th.c. Regency style gilded wall mirror c.1850. 18″ diameter convex mirror within a broad moulded frame with ebonized slip and applied ball decorations. Topped with a very impressive carved and gilded eagle pearched with its wings outstretched on a plinth raised on scrolling acanthus leaves. Further acanthus carving below the mirror. Generally very good condition with some minor wear and retouching to the gilding.
Dimensions: width 27″, depth(frame) 3¼”, height 51″.
