19th Century Toleware Shop Tea Canister
These decorative and now highly Collectables tins were once used in shop premises for the storage of loose tea.
The decoration on them varied, this one has an oriental scene depicting a lady and gentleman
In a home setting.
Each tin usually has a number, this is number 4
There is age and use related wear to the tin including a few small dents to the rear, this all adds to the character of the item.
