A magnificent 19th century Padouk fold- over games table in fantastic condition. It''s wonderful grained top with carved edging, rotates to reveal a hidden storage recess with plenty of room inside to store the cards, games, etc and folds over to reveal a green baize games surface. When opened the width of the top extends to 90cm and features a square green baize games surface. It''s beautifully carved frieze is supported on a superbly carved column finishing on a carved qua-trefoil base with carved bun feet with. Like all antiques there are imperfections, however this is a solid table with a gorgeous warm colour and amazing patina. This is a beautiful, elegant piece of antique furniture showcasing 19th century craftsmanship evident in every detail. The transformation from a stunning console table to a games table is both practical and charming, making it a versatile addition to any home. Antiques like this not only add beauty to a space but also carry a sense of history and character. Imperfections only add to its charm, highlighting its authenticity and storied past. All measurements are done to the widest point .
