19th Century Gothic Chair oak chair town hall gothic %%alt5%%
A sturdy late 19th century chair circa 1880 made from English oak. Recovered in burgundy rexin ,possibly 30 years ago but still in good condition.Seat is sprung with a hessian covering to the underside, again in very good condition. The structure is solid with no loose joints and finish is of a medium polished and waxed oak.
There are some small 'wood chips' to the bottom of front legs due to use and age.
This chair came from Hastings Town Hall, East Sussex several years ago - Hastings Town Hall was built in 1881.

Height 91cm height of seat 47cm
width of seat at front 46cm width of seat at back 38cm. We welcome visits to our 3000 sq ft warehouse in Norwich (postcode NR18 9PX), but please ask first as this is by appointment only. If travelling by train , we can meet you at Norwich Station or more locally, Wymondham Station.
