19th C Steamer Chair With Date & Initials On Crest
A very unusual, probably unique, steamer chair by repute from a private yacht. The folding steamer chair, with ash slats, retains the original untouched finish. The crest is carved with two fish and the initial "J.T" and 1874. The time worn finish is very pleasing and the whole piece is original, with replaced hinges at some point and a hsitoric repair to one leg. A truly wonderful piece of British folk art.
