A most attractive Copper and Brass Box, The Hinged Brass Lid has highly detailed relief moulded Classical Scene.The sides are in Copper with rope twist around bottom edge and it stands on four small Ball Feet.It can be seen that this was originally Plated but over the years has been 'cleaned' off, there is still some witness of the original Silver Plating but this does not detract from it. Useful for Pens Pencils etc.Late 19th Cent.c.1890. Measures 25 x 7 x 5cms. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
