A charming and large 19th century hardwood carving inlaid with silver,featuring Shoulao riding a deer.
There is a fawn biting the hoof of the adult and Shoulao has a silver ajna or third eye with a monkey on his back.

52cm height

There are several small losses that have been sympathetically restored like Shoulao`s nose and tip of coat,a few of the silver inlays have become slightly less than inlaid,one side the base has a split and been
repaired,one monkey eye is a replacement.
