This superb and stylish early 20th C. Chinese hand carved and painted, lacquered hardwood screen on stand is inlaid with hard stone and mother of pearl, and depicts eight deities against a bright blue background. The reverse side is a patterned design with bats. It measures 34 ¼ in – 87 cm wide, 33 in – 83.8 cm high and 10 ¼ in – 26 cm deep. This unusual and highly decorative piece would make a wonderful feature or focal point for a range of rooms and spaces. Thomas Crabb Antiques was founded in 1979 and is run by Stephen Roy Thomas.
