19C Georgian elm serving table dresser sideboard
Antique large 19C Georgian elm serving table, dresser or sideboard.
A rare and attractive piece of antique furniture dating from the early to mid 19th Century.
This is a lovely quality piece, that is full of rustic age charm and character.
Beautiful patina...a rare find, with a quality feel.
A good solid and heavy piece of antique furniture, with no loose joints and whose drawers slide freely (but they are very heavy, the linings are an inch thick). Magnificent old iron/steel handles and peg joints.
Would look amazing in the right farmhouse location!
Overall maximum dimensions 205cmW x 69.5cmD x 76.5cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, splits, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Loads of historic woodworm holes (typical for period elm), believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. Some splits in the top (some filled) which add to the charm and rustic nature. There is nothing loose or significantly weakened.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 3 strong able bodied persons for our driver to assist with carrying.
Stock No. 3996.
