1970's Humourous Oil Painting by Brian Holmes.
A well painted vintage oil on borad by the well known Yorkshire artist Brian Holmes, 1933-2009.
Trained at Huddersfield School of Art and The Slade School in London.
An early work (1970) in this style, A lady having a baby on television, courted controversy. Having been exhibited in Leeds, councillors in Wakefield banned its display, considering it too shocking!
In great condition, the colours are very vibrant. Title, Make Friends. Mounted in period wooden frame which is painted white.
Signed on the back by Brian Holmes.

How much is delivery and how long does it take?
We can arrange delivery throughout England, Wales and Scotland. If you would like a delivery quote, please contact us with your postcode and we will get back to you with a price. Delivery is usually within 10 working days.

Standard delivery is with a one man courier and it is a door to door service. If you require a two man courier, please let us know at the time of purchase.

Smaller items will be sent with a parcel courier. We wrap and book parcels in once a week on Thursdays. If you require an item quickly, please let us know and we can arrange this.

We can provide an overseas shipping service.

Yes, we can arrange shipping to most countries. Please contact us with your country and area code if you would like a quote.

Terms and conditions

We offer a 14 day return service if you are not happy with the item. This is providing that items are returned within 14 days and are in the same condition that they left us in. The cost of returning the goods must be covered by you. We will refund you on the items return.

In the rare occurance of damage in transit, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt of the item.
