1950s Cinema Seating Indicator Board
An original cream and ruby red hand painted wooden cinema seating indicator dating 1930s-1950s with slide panels showing seating availability as ‘Queueing’, ‘Standing’ and ‘Seats’ and price brackets ‘2/6’, ‘2/’, & ‘1/6’.
The indicator is in solid overall order, there are one or two areas of over-painting. All of the sliding panels operate. A similar piece can be seen in the Museum of London. Possibly from an ABC Theatre.
A now rare piece of cinema history.
