The Mummy - macabre, memorable decor....
Uncovered twenty or so years ago in a country house, along with all manner of other weird paraphernalia, this raised a few eyebrows: until we learnt that the property's deceased owner had been a director/producer involved with the making of some of the classic horror films of the 1950s and 60s. Obviously a man of eccentric tastes some of his favourite 'artifacts' from these times had found their way home where they were employed as, shall we say, characterful decor!
An historic film prop from the golden age of British horror that, in the right setting, will surely fascinate your guests this its historic possibilities...not to mention its macabre presence, and even if you decide to 'come clean' and admit that its age can be counted in tens of years rather than hundreds or thousands....will provide a talking point like little else in the house!
Will it fit in my pyramid?.......Almost certainly yes as he or she measures some 59 inches by 16 inches - well below average height at that time so possibly a teenager?
Goodness knows what it actually contains, certainly not the embalmed remains of a long deceased cat, but externally it has the multiple and aged looking wrappings of the authentic thing.
As there are no issues with origins, perishable goods etc.so consigning it to a delivery van service would be quite easy and will be taken care of within the asking price providing you live in the UK and South of the Border.. All items are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations which give buyers the right to cancel the purchase within seven days after receipt of the item for a full refund less RETURN transport costs
