A beautiful and rare Welsh comb back stick chair, Carmarthenshire late 18th century. Constructed from oak with 2" thick single slab elm seat with beautiful grain.
Original throughout, free from repair and retaining all original components including H stretcher.
Very strong and stable, standing well with pleasant proportions. It is remarkably comfortable for a primitive chair, the rake to the back being especially pleasant.
An exceptional example of it's type, in perfect condition with superb colour and patina.
