A somewhat unusual piece of country antique furniture, possibly unique. A beech chair let into a hefty piece of old oak, even older than the date of the chair. It weighs a proverbial ton and is four inches thick, far too heavy to risk picking it up by the arms. When sat on a flat seated chair it would bring the little darling to table hight and with the bar through the arms the weight makes sure it's not going anywhere. In fine condition with a mellow surface and lovely colour. It dates from around 1780.
