18th Century Oil on Canvas set with a Wall Mirror in a Gilt Frame
The Frame is superbly Decorated with Gold leaf, painting and Ormolu Mounts.
The unsigned painting is superbly executed it depicts the rescue by a Moor and Knight Templar of a woman from a Flaming Battle Scene and beneath is a small rectangular mirror.
The painting is sound if a little crackled, the frame has some age related damage to the gesso and the mercury glass mirror has slight foxing but not serious
The Painting in its Frame is 60” tall and 28” wide
