A fine quality Satinwood and Ebony banded card table by Gillows of Lancaster. This late 18th century table demi lune in shape, made in Satinwood with Ebony cross-banding and inlaid in Tulipwood and Boxwood. The top opens to create a circular playing surface on a green baize. Raised on slender tapering legs with unusual Ebony detail to the foot. Wonderful mellow colour with original finish throughout this stunning table. English, Circa 1790. Stamped to back rail "Gillows Lancaster".
