18ct Sapphire and Diamond Ring

Three sapphires and six diamonds.
Size R.
Approximate dimensions: setting 21mm across and 6.5mm wide, centre sapphire 5.4mm x 4mm, smaller sapphires 3mm x 2.5mm, band 1.7mm wide and 1.1mm thick, weight 3.8 grams.
The hallmark is quite rubbed but the date letter is clear and legible and the assay office mark is believed to be Birmingham.
The maker's mark is E.E.P&Co.
The oval round sapphires are a medium blue, well saturated. Nice clean stones.
The small diamonds are bright and well matched.
The gold is a dark yellow.
A good quality, attractive ring from the Edwardian era.
