18ct Gold English Free Sprung with Power Reserve Dial
An English 18ct gold cased open face pocket watch with free sprung movement and power reserve dial by Charles Higgins of Canterbury.
The 46.3 mm white enamel dial with subsidiary dials for seconds and power reserve/level having black Roman numerals, is in excellent condition having no hairline cracks, chips or discolouration. The hands are of blued steel.
The 53.4 mm 18ct gold case bears the hall marks for London 1881 with the sponsor mark of 'PW' - possibly Philip Woodman & Sons of Clerkenwell, London. The high grade, chain fusee driven free sprung movement is in excellent condition and is signed 'Chas. Higgins, Canterbury with the serial number 2991. The watch winds, sets and runs well. A key will be provided. We only accept payment via PayPal as we do not have the facility to process payments by other methods.
