Very nice Thonet No.3 bentwood armchair circa 1860. A very elegant design of chair that fits into any traditional setting but looks just as at home in a contemporary setting or utilized as an item of antique furniture sculpture. The cane seat and back have been professionally re-caned by a fourth generation cane and rush seating specialist. The finish is original and as such has marks, scratches and some shakes/splits on the extremities of the bentwood angles, none of which are structural. Please study photos. This is a nice and increasingly scarce armchair, measures 60cm wide by 47cm deep and stands 97cm high at the back. The seat is 47.5cm high by 47cm wide and deep.
