William Bradley
(1801 - 1857)

Listed artist who has portraits displayed within the National Portrait Gallery, London

William Bradley, portrait painter, was born in Manchester. At the age of 21 he moved to London and established himself as a portrait painter. Between 1823 and 1846 he exhibited twenty one portraits at the Royal Academy.

The portrait depicts an elderly gentleman reading his newspaper whilst having dinner.

The painting can be dated to between 1851 and 1857 (using the Newspaper title as evidence)


There is age related superficial damage to the frame and signs of foxing on the painting

(foxing appears on the wall, none visible on the man himself)

Please include a brief letter including your name and address and an explanation as to why you are returning the item(s). Please note I do not refund your postage.

If the reason for your return is due to breakage/damage in transit, please take photos of the product in its original packaging and email these to me at antiquesjohn1@gmail.com as I will require these to make a compensation claim from the postal service used.
