Wonderful 1960s Beithcraft Teak Sideboard

Sorry, this item is now sold. If you are seeking similar, feel free to contact me with your requirements. Thank you.
A BEAUTIFUL MID-CENTURY / VINTAGE / MODERNIST BEITHCRAFT SIDEBOARD / CREDENZA.
This beautiful sideboard, made by Beithcraft (of Beith, Scotland) is perhaps one of the top British sideboard designs from the middle of the last century.
I really admire the output from this, now sadly deceased, factory and this particular model must rank as one of their very best.
The rounded corners, the use of full-length teak veneers (running across all four facing compartments) strongly references the great Scandinavian designs of the period, but it is the 'organic' and somewhat 'wild', X-framed base that really propels this piece into a league all of it's own.
Fantastically original and as striking today as it must have been back in the 1960s, this was a real statement.
Beithcraft, who ceased trading in 1983, was the last of the great Scottish antique furniture manufactures to be based in Beith - a place that had, from c.1845, the honour of being the most important, top-end furniture manufacturing town in Scotland.
I have a further 30 or so pictures of this piece, so if there is another aspect not shown, that you'd like a picture of, email me and I'll gladly supply it.
Condition -
As shown, this example is in good overall condition and is highly presentable.
The colour is particularly good, with deep honey and syrup hues throughout and very little sun fading / bleaching apparent.
After 40+ years use, there are however some blemishes. There is a dark scratch to one end panel and one of the shaped upper edges has a small dark patch (approx the size of a 5 pence piece), where it seems a scratch or dent has been filled. This could be easily touched up so that it becomes invisible, but I prefer to leave it as is. One wooden handle/pull has a split (not really noticeable and not pictured) but it is tight/strong and not about to break. There are a few other minor light scratches here and there and one very small indentation to a drawer front...........but really, I'm being very critical. It's a lovely example and as shown, displays very well.
Priced to sell.
