A really magnificent quality antique jewellery box dating to mid-Victorian era, made from the most wonderful piece of timber, Burr Walnut inlaid with Tulipwood forming panels on all sides of this shaped box.

The box sits on four unusual hand carved feet. The lid opens to reveal the interior of the lid again inlaid with Tulipwood and retaining the original blue silk lining. The removable tray and the interior of the box is lined in hand-marbled paper to create a fresh and clean interior ready for use.

Excellent condition and grand proportions, the footprint measuirng 14" x 12 1/2" the lid measuring 12" x 10 1/2"x 6" tall. Complete with working key.
