On offer this fine antique shell cameo brooch in an elegant 9ct gold textured scroll frame.

The quality of this little work of art is outstanding.

It depicts a young lady with flowers in her hair or perhaps goddess Flora.

What the carver achieved here is amazing, They carved the profile in a way that the darker colours left over from the upper layer give the lady the most realistic looking blush on her face. Her hair, flowers & robes are also delicately tinted & the whole cameo is finely carved.

The brooch is marked for 9ct on the reverse. It measures 4 x 4.5 cm approximately.
