A fine sterling silver Edwardian hand mirror with floral chasing, scroll work & the original bevelled mirror. This wonderful Art Nouveau dressing table accessory is in very good condition for its age. It has a four cartouches, the top one is inscribed with such ornate lettering it is open to interpretation. The other cartouches show some dings & this is reflected in the price.This delightful an antique silver accessory is fully hallmarked. The maker was William Aitken. The mirror was assayed at Birmingham in 1903. The mirror gives a good & accurate reflection but it has quite a few age related marks which do not detract from its merit in any way.
This antique English silver hand mirror measures 110" X 3 3/4" & weighs 179.3 grams.
