The table has an adzed circular top on a cruciform base and is a copy of a classic 'Mouseman' design. Unusually for Pollard, it is marked with a plaque - 'S.Pollard, Bagby, Thirsk, Yorks' - to the underside. The lattice back chairs with drop in rush seats owe more to the Cotswold School of the Arts & Crafts movement in their style and simplicity.

Sid Pollard was an early and highly regarded apprentice of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson who struck out on his own at around the time of the Second World War.

DimensionsThe table has a diameter of 121.5cm and a height of 76cm. The chairs measure 90cm high, 50cm deep and 46cm wide.   Post 1940 Furniture Date 1960s  1960s Antiques Material Oak Origin English Maker S.Pollard Condition All items are in sound and original condition with no structural issues whatsoever.
