Description:
This is a fine quality set of vintage elm & beech blonde English Ercol Quaker drop leaf dining table & four Windsor hoop / stick back kitchen-dining chairs, circa 1960, of matching colour and in excellent original condition. The suite has been professionally French polished by hand in our workshops. The table, which is an Ercol 384 Windsor Dining Table, features a lovely oval moulded top, with two drop-leaf ends, boasting wonderful straw-colour and grain configuration, and the drop leaf ends are secured by pull-out supports. The top is raised on four tapering block legs. The table exhibits an attractive clean design, with simple, clean lines and curves. The side chairs, which are Ercol 365 Quaker Windsor chairs, blue label, feature five spindles to the inside of an oval shaped beech moulded back rail, connecting to the seat. The back rail is connected to the saddle shaped elm seat, which is supported by turned beech legs, united by “H” beech stretchers, which makes them a firm utility chair, ideal for daily use in the kitchen.
From the 1920s onwards, Lucian Ercolani produced chairs of this style and the company is still producing antique furniture to this day, with a timeless contemporary style. The table & chairs feature a stunning original straw colour, with fabulous grain configuration visible on the seats and table top. This furniture set boasts classic country styling it would be at home in either a traditional or contemporary setting and consumes very little space.
This Ercol dining suite table and chairs feature a straw yellow-brown elm & beech colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through the years of care and cleaning they have received.

The table & chairs are in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of them. The chairs and table have been professionally sanded, professionally French polished by hand and then waxed in our workshops to an extremely high standard. The set retains the original straw yellow-brown colour and patination, which means they boast a stunning colour. There are no breaks to the backs or legs of the chairs. The chairs and table sit firm on the ground and do not wobble. They are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
