Sapphire and Diamond Ring
Stamped 18ct Fine Plat
Size P and 3/4.
Lozenge shaped blue sapphire surrounded with 16 diamonds with two more diamonds in each shoulder.
The stamped legend 18ct Fine Plat indicates that the gems are set in platinum and the band is 18ct gold. The ring is not hallmarked so the stamping would have been done by the maker.
The sapphire is a medium blue.
The round diamonds are well matched and bright.
Approximate dimensions: sapphire 7.5mm x 5.2mm, setting 14.8mm long and 10.5mm across, weight 3 grams.
We believe this ring to be circa 1980s but could be older.
There are surface marks associated with normal use and age.
Overall in very good condition.
