River Thames enamel boat license plate 1920
A brown hexagonal enamelled plate with fixing holes, 4.5" x 3.5", licence number 3304 for 1920. This plate would have been attached to a launch or other boat on the River Thames to evidence that it was a licensed craft and the required dues had been paid. Distressing consummate with its use and years. (NB - although the flaked rust to the rear looks fairly horrific there is plenty of thickness and strength to the metal). Price of £55 for this hundred year old piece of the River Thames' history includes postage to any UK address.
