Regency Painted and Parcel Gilt Overmantel Mirror %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A very attractive Regency period Overmantel mirror in excellent original order dating from around 1820.
The mirror has a most decorative appearance with beautiful original water gilded detail to the piece. The central sylvan scene of dancing maidens in a garden setting are flanked by Doric columns with figures in the panels above holding doves and a harp. The two side mirrors frame a central circular mirror with sunburst design and a beautiful water gilded garland surround. The projecting cornice is again elegantly highlighted with water gilded ball detail. The three mirrors are the original mercury plates which are in excellent clean condition. This stands 93 cms high and is 137 cms wide.
A very handsome piece in lovely original order and extremely rare to find from this period.

UK insured delivery can be arranged with our trusted furniture courier and costs £65 plus vat to most destinations.
