RARE GEORGE III BILSTON ENAMEL PATCH BOX c1770
FINE 18TH CENTURY SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE BILSTON ENAMEL PATCH BOX "A TRIFLE FROM GRANTHAM"
Of oval form with black printed hinged cover of a scene from Grantham with the words "A Trifle from Grantham". Pink ground and white interior. Measures 4.5cm across. Provenance D. M. & P. Manheim Antiques Corp., New York.
Overall in excellent condition with no enamel loss, chips or cracks. As with many of these examples the mirror is cracked, but overall the condition, given the age, is exceptional.
